Gary Oldman almost died playing Sid Vicious

Gary Oldman is an actor who lost more than thirteen kilos to portray the Sex Pistols bassist in the film Sid and Nancy. He followed a diet so strict in order to imitate the musician's gaunt silhouette that he had to be hospitalized during production. To perfect his portrayal, he also received from the late artist's mother the leather necklace and bracelet that the artist wore during his lifetime.
