The Templars were rehabilitated by the Church in 2007

The Templars are the members of the Order of the Temple, a religious and military order created in 1129 during the Council of Troyes. This order was dissolved in 1312 by Pope Clement V following pressure from Philip the Fair and various accusations. It took until the year 2007 for the Catholic Church to finally rehabilitate them.
