The true identity of Troy in Hittite texts

Troy is an ancient city of Asia Minor at the heart of the Trojan War and Homeric tales. Specialists of the Hittite world identify it with the city of Wilusa, whose king controlled the Troad region to the west of Hittite territories. This correspondence is supported by ancient diplomatic documents also mentioning the region under the name of Truwisa.
