Margaux Hemingway bears a first name directly inspired by a Bordeaux grand cru. Her parents indeed consumed Château Margaux at the time of her conception, a wine particularly appreciated by her grandfather Ernest Hemingway. She herself modified the initial spelling of her civil status, which was written Margot, to match it with the name of the estate.
