Matt Damon almost did not play the lead role in Good Will Hunting

Matt Damon is the actor and co-writer of the film Good Will Hunting released in 1997. Not obtaining the big role he hoped for, he wrote this story of a mathematics genius with his friend Ben Affleck. Miramax studios were won over but wanted to hire Leonardo DiCaprio for the title role before Matt Damon finally got his way.
