Instagram's censorship was modified by an activist

Barbara Butch is a feminist activist whose photograph on the cover of the magazine Télérama was censored by Instagram in February 2020. The social network invoked an infringement of its rule prohibiting squeezing one's breasts very hard, blocking the activist's account for 24 hours. Faced with criticism and after the launch of a protest movement, Instagram admitted a moderation error penalizing plus-size people and modified its rules in October 2020.
