Ulysses takes bloody revenge in the Odyssey

In the Odyssey, Ulysses eliminates all the suitors who coveted his wife by revealing himself to them during an archery contest. After shooting Antinous with an arrow, he massacres the other suitors with the help of Telemachus, Eumaeus, and Philoetius. To complete their punishment, the maids who had dallied with the rivals are hanged after cleaning up the carnage.
