Canadair aircraft refill in flight in a few seconds

The Canadair CL-415 is a water bomber seaplane capable of refilling while skimming over a lake or the sea. This operation, called scooping, is performed at a speed between 140 and 160 km/h over a distance of approximately 450 meters. Water rushes through small 10 × 12 cm openings to fill the two 3,000-liter tanks each in a record time of 9 to 12 seconds.
