The movie Drive originated from reading a simple review

Drive is the film adaptation of the novel of the same name by James Sallis published in 2005 in the United States. Producer Marc E. Platt spotted the work by chance while browsing a brief review published in the magazine Publishers Weekly. He immediately bought an option to adapt the story, seduced by this character of an anonymous and taciturn driver.
